Because PSLs ain’t the only way to fall in love with fall.

Y’all, September is here—and you know what that means. The ‘ber months have arrived, the air might be cooling off (eventually), and every store smells like cinnamon and nostalgia. Around here at Alabama Pecan Company, we don’t just embrace fall—we roll around in it like a happy golden retriever in a leaf pile.

And yes, pumpkin spice is back. But can we talk about something real for a second?

There’s more to pumpkin spice than that fancy coffee shop drink. Don’t get us wrong—we love a PSL as much as the next gal, but that blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and ginger is too good to be trapped in a cup. So we let it out to play.

Here are five of our favorite ways to give pumpkin spice a good Southern spin—no espresso machine required.

1. Pumpkin Spice Pecans

Of course, we’re kicking things off with our best-selling, handmade-in-store Pumpkin Spice Pecans. Sweet, crunchy, and kissed with fall flavors—they’re basically a cozy sweater for your tastebuds. Toss ’em in a snack mix, add ’em to salads, or eat ‘em straight out the bag like we do on the way home from work. No judgment here.

2. Spiced Whipped Cream

Y’all, this one is dangerous. Just a spoonful of pumpkin spice stirred into fresh whipped cream turns it into something heavenly. Dollop it on your morning pancakes, swirl it into your coffee, or go rogue and eat it right off the spoon. (Been there.)

3. Pumpkin Spice Pancakes with Pecan Butter

Here’s a weekend winner: stir a little pumpkin spice into your favorite pancake batter, then top those golden stacks with a pat of our house-made pecan butter and a drizzle of maple syrup. It’s a whole autumn moment, no flannel required.

4. Pumpkin Snickerdoodles

Take your classic snickerdoodles and swap out the cinnamon sugar for pumpkin spice. Toss in some chopped pecans if you’re feeling fancy. These babies are soft, chewy, and basically smell like the inside of a fall candle—only way more edible.

5. Fall Trail Mix

If you’re into crunchy, salty-sweet snacking (who isn’t?), mix together:

  • Pumpkin Spice Pecans

  • Pretzels

  • Dried cranberries

  • White chocolate chips

  • Roasted pepitas

Boom. Trail mix that feels like a hayride in a bowl.

So, whether you’re hosting a fall get-together, packing lunchbox treats, or just want to spice up a Tuesday, pumpkin spice has a place in your pantry—and it starts with a good ol’ bag of Alabama Pecan Co. goodness.

Ready to fall all the way in?
