Pretzels, chocolate, salted caramel, and pecans are the only ingredients required to make these pretzel turtles; and believe me, you're going to want to make these a lot. Most of the ingredients, you probably already have roaming around your pantry, and they require very little time. Twenty minutes tops and you'll have a sweet treat that everyone will enjoy, and that includes the time it takes to make salted caramel sauce from scratch.

Tips & Tricks
One thing I love about this recipe is that absolutely everything can changed to suite whatever you have on hand. No chocolate bar? No problem. Use a Hershey's Kiss or melt down some chocolate chips and drizzle the chocolate like you do the salted caramel. No pretzel twist? Use pretzel sticks or pretzel squares or whatever you have or can find. No pecan pieces? That's ok, I used pecan halves and crushed them up. Everything can be suited to what you have.
I used pretzel twists for this recipe but I can see where the square pretzels would work better, they can hold more chocolate!
If you don't want to have chocolate all over your fingers, like that's a bad thing, pop your turtles in the freezer for a few minutes to allow your chocolate to set back up and really get everything to blend together.
I added a little pinch of course salt to the top of my turtles. Completely not necessary but I love sweet and salty together.
